For those who regularly use the Internet for sourcing candidates, the SITE technique is an underutilized, yet extremely productive methodology, and one it would behoove most of you to become familiar with. Its easy to use. Here is an example: site:taylor-engineering.com (engineer OR designer) You would type the above simple search string into Google, although this particular command works in all the three major search engines. I just arbitrarily picked Taylor Engineering but you can search any company you like. Our search will show 47 results. The very first result is titled Taylor Engineering - Staff. If you click on that you will see a number of the engineering and design employees that work for Taylor Engineering, and what their specialty is. Not every company has their staff on their website, but many do and the site technique is a wonderful way to find them.
This very simple example is just the tip
of the iceberg as it relates to the power of this technique. For those
interested in making full use of the SITE technique, Swat Recruiting, in
cooperation with Bill Radin, is presenting a 90-minute webinar on
Thursday, April 15.
